Academic Project · April 2021 This project's proposal was to create a graphic sequence for a musical theme of any artist who had participated in the latest editions of the "Vodafone Paredes de Coura" festival. Feeling Lonely is the intro single from the artist Boy Pablo and one of the most streamed songs on his debut album. Through a happy melody, the artist mourns the loss of his passion. Therefore, it bittersweetly talks about missing someone, feelings of emptiness and sadness, with a joyful and cheerful instrumental, creating a catchy juxtaposition throughout the song. "Their sunshiny sound carried by ear worm inducing guitar and bass riffs, beachy synths, and upbeat drums."
Rose Riddell, Coup de Main, 15.2.2019 The stickers used to label fruit were the main reference for the project. Much like Boy Pablo transformed the melancholic lyrics with an upbeat melody, fruit stickers, previously something banal and commonly ignored, were breathed a new comic and cheerful life, making them the perfect outlet for this project. The shapes used refer to the music's positivity despite the lyrics' negativity, achieving the intended effect.
