Academic Project · April 2022
This is a prototype for an infographic website about the collaborative movie "Chacun Son Cinéma", created in honour of Cannes Festival's sixtieth anniversary.
"Chacun Son Cinéma" is a collaborative movie made by 35 of the most notable working directors from over 25 countries and 5 continents. Each director had three minutes to create a short film about their view of the state of cinema at the time.
As a result, the complete movie represents the diversity of cultures and forms in cinema.
None of the directors knew anything about the others' fragments, not even their synopsis. They agreed to discover them along with the 'festivalgoers', at the evening dedicated to celebrating the Festival's anniversary.
Gilles Jacob, Diretor do Festival
The idea was inspired by the layout of traditional movie film, with its small side holes and rectangular images in the center.
The website menu is repeated throughout the layout, much like in a movie film where all the perforations are the same size and repeated.
